Eminence’s Medical Director is a licensed physician. He is responsible for determining medical necessity for all Eminence clients to ensure that all adolescents in our program are receiving appropriate substance abuse treatment services to match their individual treatment needs. He does this by reviewing the DSM IV diagnosis of the client, the client’s substance abuse history, the impairments the client experiences due to their substance abuse, and the client’s Treatment Plan to ensure that the client is appropriate to receive outpatient treatment services in a group counseling setting. At this time, we are able to make referrals for adolescents in need of more intensive services. Our Eminence Clinical Supervisor provides the day-to-day clinical supervision for our counselors.
